Evidence of Growth at the Professional Level

Domain 1: Knowledge of Practice

The DNP proposal project demonstrates how scientific knowledge from different sources can be integrated to create innovation. Collaborating with my group, we propose an EBP to implement during the program, synthesizing information from our article analysis. This experience enhanced my skills in critically analyzing literature and translating scientific evidence into practical interventions.

Domain 3: Population Health

The putting it all together assignment shown below is an example of the third domain. This assignment required me to use foundational NP knowledge to create a presentation that can be discussed during a routine health visit. This assignment showed me how easy it can be to educate the public on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.

Domain 5: Quality and Safety

The below photo essay demonstrates domain 5 as it utilizes knowledge and principles of improvement science to improve quality and safety for patients. This assignment contributed to a culture of patient safety. It brought to attention and awareness for the issue of safe water in America. I personally learned the importance of knowing the common problems in the area you are practicing in so you can advocate for the public population.

Domain 7: Health Systems

The social disparities presentation below aligns with domain 7 as it brings to attention the issues of perinatal care in America. This presentation also discusses ways innovation and evidence-based practice are being utilized to improve the current disparities relating to perinatal care. This assignment made me proficient in finding innovate and evidence-based solutions for a problem.

Domain 9: Professional Acumen

Domain 9 is about demonstrating the attributes and perspectives of the nursing profession and adherence to ethical principles while practicing as an equal partner of the interdisciplinary health care team. Throughout the reflective journal found below, I dive into how my clinical experiences have fostered my growth in these areas.

Domain 2: Person-Centered Care

The oral case presentation presented below aligns with the second domain as it uses evidence-based information to explain the management plan created for a specific patient. This assignment allowed for reflection about the case and created discussion for ways to improve and provide comprehensive patient-centered care.

Domain 4: Practice Scholarship and Translational Science

The literature review shown below aligns with domain 4 as I had to generate, appraise, synthesize, and disseminate knowledge about menopause to my classmates. This leads to improvement in person-centered care as well as systems care. I learned the importance of finding quality sources for dissemination during this assignment.

Domain 6: Interprofessional Collaboration in Practice

The internal and external needs assignment attached below aligns with domain 6 as it advocates for the patient as a member of the health care team. Looking at a specific population like women with PCOS allowed for me as the writer to dive deep into this topic and encouraged my ability to use this knowledge to address healthcare needs to others in the interdisciplinary team.

Domain 8: Technology and Information Literacy

The attached paper aligns with domain 8 as it demonstrates the ability to critically assess ethical implications of information collection methods. The analysis highlights the importance of how to use technology and data ethically and responsibly. I feel that I have achieved a high level of competency in identifying ethical concerns related to information use after this assignment.

Domain 10: Personal and Professional Leadership

The paper found below highlights several factors in domain 10 including development of self awareness, professional accountability, lifelong learning, and the ability to influence others through leadership. I believe I have achieved a high level of competence for this domain as I consistently strive to align my values with my leadership techniques. I also remain open to feedback.
